1). Knowledge objective

Students can recognize, read and use some words about describing locations and learn the sentence pattern Where’s the …? It’s….

2). Ability objective

(1) Students can describe the locations of objects or people by repeated practices.

(2) Students can develop their abilities of listening and speaking.

2.Presentation

(1) Use a ball and a box to teach words about different locations. (Teacher can do some actions to help students understand the meaning of this words better.)

(2) Show the picture about the dog and ball and guide students to describe the location by asking Where is the...? and answering It is....”

(设计意图:利用实物和图片等多样化的方式,呈现新的语言知识,不仅能让学生直观地认识和理解新单词、新句型。同时,能够加强学生对于新的语言项目的理解。)

3.Practice

(1) Invite students to do some actions to practice the words. For example, teacher says stand behind your chair, then students do the action as teacher instructed

(2) Create various situations with PPT such as my room and our classroom, and asks students to find the missing objects by using the sentence pattern.

(设计意图: 在操练的环节中,通过全身反应法和情境教学法的应用,不仅可以加深学生对于方位词及目标句型的准确掌握,也可以激发学生参与课堂的积极性。)

4.Production

Divide students into several groups, four students a group and show a picture of a grandparents' garden and invite students to describe different locations with the learned language there is... Teacher can set an example first. Which groups can say the most description, which group can win.
